Mindfulness and Using Non-Dominant Hands

Today I put my face lotion on with the opposite hand. It felt really weird and made my brain sweat a little.

A few years ago my New Year’s resolution was to use my off hand for more stuff. I don’t know how long that lasted, but it was not the whole year. I just imagine how much smarter I’d be if I’d kept up.

When I talk about meditation, it doesn’t have to mean sitting cross legged and getting in touch with the universe. We can practice mindfulness in any everyday setting by simply being in the present moment, whatever we’re doing. Even putting on face lotion. And we get better at it by making ourselves do it more often.
